Job Description:

At East Coast Capital, we are looking for a talented, detail-orientated, and well-organized individual to join our team as a Loan Opener. This position is responsible for initiating the loan process and may include communicating with clients and sales staff on an as-needed basis. Operational tasks may include but are not limited to preparing loan documents and disclosures and reviewing various associated mortgage documents. All completed tasks must follow state and federal compliance requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the loan officer, title company, and any other pertinent parties to coordinate the logistics of disclosing a loan application and other loan documents as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute the initial Lender Disclosure package and ensure all transactions are properly documented and authorized in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor for, and prepares, all re-disclosures to the borrower for all appropriate valid change circumstance requirements.
  • Review all disclosures for accuracy and completeness, as well as compliance with applicable federal, state-specific, and TRID related requirements.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies contained in loan file information, escalate issues where necessary, keeping the loan officer informed.
  • Responsible for managing the daily pipeline of application in flow with opening team.
  • Manage documentation to ensure that disclosure records are maintained in a proper manner and kept to applicable timeframes.
  • Provide customer service to the sales team during the disclosing and pre-closing process.
  • Provide accurate, consistent, knowledgeable responses to loan officer questions and requests specific to TRID disclosing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders to execute work and fulfill loan documentation delivery expectations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of mortgage operations experience preferred but not required
  • Encompass experience a plus
