POSITION SUMMARY:
The Loss Prevention Manager’s primary responsibility is to prevent the loss of company property while maintaining a safe business environment. Our Loss Prevention manager must help develop, implement, assess, and maintain effective internal and external loss prevention programs and associates for the store.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Research and identify theft trends in the area by partnering with nearby businesses, city authorities, etc.

Develop and implement comprehensive theft prevention, safety, and inventory management programs to promote shortage awareness throughout the store.

Oversee the store’s Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS), access control systems, CCTV and product protection programs. Assisting in researching new security equipment to enhance the protection of the company’s assets.

Conducts daily schedules assignments, audits, internal / external investigations, surveillance, and apprehensions in compliance with company guidelines. Accompanying Detectives to testify in court as needed.

Effectively communicates audits and new/updated policies to store management. Maintain a detailed record of all reports, incidents, and actions needed.

Review and improve Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) involving safety and shortages where necessary. Regularly conduct store inspections to ensure the store complies with the company and state’s policies and procedures.

Actively builds a culture of honesty and integrity within the store and corporate offices.

Recruit and oversee all training programs for Detectives, Visual Security Officers and conduct new hire orientation. Develop customer service awareness among the team. Deliver performance reviews and partner with Store Manager of Loss Prevention and HR for disciplinary issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and adopt a hands-on approach as needed.

Education in Loss Prevention or Prior Experience in Loss Prevention, Security, or Law Enforcement.

New York State Security License; 8 and 16 hours

Knowledge of CCTV Surveillance, alarms, and apprehension techniques

Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
COMPENSATION:
Annual $70-75K
