Who Do We Want?
We’re looking for a freelance Experiential Designer for a contract to concept and design fan-first experiential activations tied to major sporting moments. Think championship watch parties, branded fan zones, tailgate takeovers, and interactive sponsor experiences. This role calls for a concept-driven creative who can bring big ideas to life through 3D environments, immersive storytelling, and high-energy visual design. If you've worked on campaigns that captured the passion of sports fans—from pre-game hype to the final buzzer—and can translate that into bold, on-brand experiences, we’d love to connect.
Scope & Details
The Experiential Designer collaborates closely with Art and Creative Directors to bring campaigns to life through striking visuals across print, digital, and environmental mediums. From crafting logos and illustrations to designing presentation decks, retouching photos, and creating production graphics for activations, websites, and scenic installations, this role covers a wide creative spectrum. Designers must transform brand guidelines into bold, narrative-driven visuals that capture attention and clearly communicate key messages, all while seamlessly working within a collaborative, fast-paced creative team.
Responsibilities
- A strong portfolio in experiential and 3D design with proven experience across sporting events, fan activations, watch parties, tailgates, championship celebrations, and other sports industry verticals.
- Interprets and translates brand guidelines and design briefs into compelling visuals across multiple platforms.
- Concepts, sketches, and presents visual ideas tailored to target audiences and project goals.
- Designs a wide range of assets including print, digital, packaging, UI, and social media content.
- Creates illustrations, logos, and layouts using Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard tools.
- Collaborates closely with copywriters, creative directors, and 3D designers on integrated campaigns.
- Understands physical design builds, materials, and print production processes.
- Applies feedback to refine designs and ensure all outputs are polished, dynamic, and on-brand.
- Maintains high quality control standards for all deliverables across formats and media.
- Stays current with design trends and adapts them appropriately within brand and project constraints.
- Brings strong organizational, communication, and time management skills to every project; motion design skills are a plus.
- Adobe Suite, Rhino, Maya, SketchUp, VectorWorks
- Architecture, Film and or Theater backgrounds are a plus.
