Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering the Associate Electrical Engineer will utilize established engineering principles in design, installation, and manufacturability. Performs power system studies, reliability, EMI, and power quality. Select and correctly calculate power requirements for automated equipment including sensors, motors, PLC’s, I/O components, wiring and connectors. Works on problems of diverse scope including production support and software troubleshooting. Effectively communicates improvement recommendations and provides comprehensive solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluates electrical components, systems, and products by designing and conducting research, and applying principles of electrical engineering for manufacturability.
  • Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties. Develop troubleshooting and workmanship techniques as needed.
  • Creates and maintains engineering documentation including schematics, specifications, drawings, and work instructions. Work closely with production personnel to ensure documentation is accurate. Quickly and effectively work to fix problems on the production floor.
  • Candidate must be enthusiastic about hands-on testing and problem solving, then effectively communicate and coordinate solutions with various team members as well as the engineering resource portal.
  • Work with PLC programming and controls, specifically for axial motion and position tuning.
  • Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; confirming assembly, and installation processes.
  • Develops new and assembler-minded wiring / cable building and routing instructions to enhance manufacturability.
  • Must have ability to proactively solve issues before or while they occur on production floor. These include but are not limited to software, wiring, workmanship, and component failure analysis.
  • Work within industry and governmental standards and regulations for safety and ergonomic design.
  • Coordinate issues and solutions with software, design, and production teams.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

·       The employee must have a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record which will be approved by Revasum’s insurance carrier. Proof of personal car insurance must be provided in order to be added to Revasum’s company driver’s insurance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with 2D schematic modeling software
