Summary:

Under the moderate supervision of the Director of Software & Controls, the Intermediate Software Quality Analyst will analyze and test software to ensure that products meet design specifications and standards. Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures based on business requirements. Test any new software to ensure functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications are adhered to. Contribute to standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness. Create, maintain, and execute manual/exploratory test cases, and clearly document software defects. Identify and execute automation for common test cases. Review and provide feedback on product feature requirements. Due to the nature of testing this is an onsite position, remote work is not an option.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, and document manual and automated tests based on software specifications 
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Solve problems, identify root causes and failure modes
  • Manage multiple test plans simultaneously
  • Master the operation of the equipment being tested
  • Approach testing with a critical eye on usability, reliability, and robustness
  • Review software requirements and identify gaps in software implementations
  • Knowledgeable in SDLC and Q.A. processes and procedures
  • Create and maintain reporting and monitoring systems
  • Implement and follow company safety standards
  • Other duties will be assigned

  • Experience with software tools (e.g. Jira, Bitbucket, Visual Studio, etc.)

 Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline
  • 3-5 years experience in a Quality Assurance or related position
  • Experience with testing tools and Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred

 While performing these duties, the employee is frequently exposed to CMP, grinding, metrology and other laboratory equipment and process consumables, including chemical slurry.  The employee will be required to follow cleanroom protocols, including dressing in cleanroom garb while working in the cleanrooms.  While in the office space, employee will be exposed to computers, copiers and printers.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
