Churchome Youth Coordinator

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Churchome Youth Coordinator will encourage, resource, and train Churchome Youth Seattle volunteers, making it possible for us to tell the story of Jesus to the world. Focused on creating community among the Chuchome Youth volunteers, this strategic thinker will foster an environment where leadership development is a priority and volunteers are equipped to be leaders in their community.
The Churchome Youth Coordinator must be a forward-focused, team player with a faith-filled attitude. The role reports to the Churchome Youth Pastor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather, equip and empower new Churchome Youth Experience Volunteers
- Lead well-organized, dynamic, and fun Experiences with effective communication and strong leadership resulting in consistent growth in Churchome Youth students
- Implement the CHY Experience Toolkit that contains discussion questions, videos, slides, music etc.
- Coordinate Experience set up and tear down
- Recruit and schedule of volunteers to serve
- Develop volunteers through training and building relationships
- Lead Churchome Youth Weekly Service
- Obtain feedback from youth and families
- Churchome may also assign other duties or responsibilities, in its sole discretion
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
- Combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Proven experience working with children
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong relationally and the ability to influence and be involved with training and equipping volunteers
