MARKETING MANAGER

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Marketing Manager will support the brand objectives of Churchome by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing & communication strategies that increase awareness, reach, engagement, and conversions. The Marketing Manager is responsible for working with ministry org leaders to co-create marketing strategies that leads to healthy and growing ministries and members. Other key responsibilities include helping our ministries align with global strategies, lead in the development of tools, templates, and training that equip and empower staff members/volunteers to become self-sufficient. This includes, but not limited to developing teams of volunteers, creating simple tools for staff use, facilitating market research to understand our target audience in specific areas, and developing decentralized support systems.
This position is crucial to the marketing operations, which is a core function on the Communications and Marketing team, which means this professional must have extraordinary organizational and communication skills; and has the ideal balance of business acumen and ministerial heart. This leader must be a forward-focused, faith filled, team player. They report to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
The Marketing Manager will help marketing and achieve the goal to be the best at telling the story of Jesus to the world, by performing the following responsibilities personally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGY & PLANNING
Innovate ways to engage and develop each of Churchome’s target audience by:
Co-creating a Communication Plan with ministry leaders and their teams that promotes success to KPI’s.
Studying local trends and socio-demographic environments to develop new/improved communication methods (i.e., be the expert of the audience) in collaboration with Marketing Director
Providing reports that help define target audience, understand market trends, and people mosaics, and make data-driven decisions. Accomplish marketing objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing & communication strategies to increase awareness, reach, engagement, and conversions for Churchome ministries. This includes a specific focus on digital, SEO, social, email, and other conventional and unconventional marketing tactics.
Partner with the Marketing Director and Social Media Manager to create and communicate strategies that align global goals, priorities, and objectives across all campuses.
Partner with the Central Marketing Manager and Social Marketing Manager to create communication channels that decentralize and contextualize the Churchome brand strategies
Promote consistency in brand experience and identity (look and feel)
Serve as a point of contact for the Churchome’s social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok
Interact with community members in a professional, personable, and timely manner to grow and to keep community engaged
Work with the Social Media Manager and ministry teams to create assimilation and onboarding opportunities
Manage the inquires from inboxes and weekly pastor chat requests
Foster and strengthen new relationships with key influencers within the community
Deploy social listening tools to monitor positive/negative comments and topic trends, and strive to boost engagement and resolve any potential conflicts that may affect brand reputation
Generate comprehensive reports on overall community sentiment and notable trends and provide meaningful feedback
Keep up to date to the latest social media trends and emerging social media platforms in the industry
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Work with Marketing and Communications project managers in execution of strategies/promotions
Building dashboards and assessment tools for support systems and strategies
Develop Communication tools, templates, and trainings that accelerate ministry comms health and growth
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
Highly relational with a minimum of 3 years of experience with client relations and/or customer service focus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex projects in both digital and traditional marketing fields.
An ideal candidate would have a deep understanding of the Churchome brand, prior experience in church communications, and/or experience in either external or in-house agencies in a similar marketing function.
Proven track record of implementing marketing strategies and tactics aimed at achieving organizational goals; experience using data to show ROI and effectiveness of campaigns.
Strong understanding of SEO, email, Social, Online Targeting/Retargeting marketing campaigns
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines with a flexible approach to changing priorities and duties.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to proactively see opportunities and solve problems by leveraging analytical, technical, and creative skills.
Proven leadership skills, including the ability to lead, coach, and develop staff, volunteers, and/or interns to improve performance and achieve common goals.
Ability to motivate and influence cross-functional and executive teams to work together for better results.
Ability to work/communicate with all levels of the church’s leadership team.
Exceptional communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent years of related marketing and communications experience: 5 - 8+ years with a clear track record of creating effective marketing campaigns.
