ABOUT THIS ROLE


The Digital Pastor is responsible for creating digital opportunities for community members to progress on their spiritual journey through community connection. This pastoral leader will forge digital on-ramps for connectivity for people who connect to Churchome in any capacity and empower individuals to connect to the larger community. Strategic and inventive, this pastor will direct the spiritual journey of community members towards leading others, including recruiting and onboarding hosts. User engagement for digital platforms will be a main focus of growth and ownership for this pastor with the intention of casting a wide, inclusive net for community engagement. 


The Digital Pastor must be a forward-focused, team player with a faith-filled attitude. The role reports to the Grow Director. 



RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Strategize and implement global digital community opportunities and create inclusive on-ramps for connecting

  • Create and maintain an intentional, connected community for digital community hosts.

  • Recruit, resource and retain global digital community hosts.

  • Oversee the process and implementation of the strategy for user engagement throughout the lifetime of the user. 

  • Implement strategy to increase engagement on the app and on the website. 

  • Global resources are being built and curated to help serve and care for the needs of our global Churchome community. 

  • Facilitate community building opportunities and develop leaders by hosting Church@Home and meetups.

  • Work collaboratively with grow team to create, launch and lead growths


EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Formal pastoral licensing or training preferred

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Effective communication, both verbally and written.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. 

  • Confidentiality and Discretion; with higher levels of responsibility and authority comes a greater demand for discretion and wisdom.  

  • Strong relationally and the ability to influence and be involved with pastoral care, spiritual growth, and building teams.

  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
