His story is the story of amazing grace demonstrated in lavish love and great forgiveness offered to all people in every part of the world so they can find home in God. Jesus is the focal point of His story. He is the personification of grace, love, and forgiveness and He desires everyone to know Him and experience who He is. ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Host Pastor will play a critical role in the training, development, and retention of all group hosts making it possible for us to tell the story of Jesus to the world. Focused on creating community among the volunteer host teams, they will at the same time develop hosts into volunteer Host Coaches. This strategic thinker will foster an environment where leadership development is a priority and volunteers are equipped to be leaders in their community. 

The Host Pastor must be a forward-focused, team player with a faith-filled attitude. The role reports to the Host Director. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, onboard, and launch new group hosts and community opportunities.

• Resource and retain group hosts

• Maintain an intentional, connected community for group hosts (Church@home, Uplift, Conversation, and Activity group hosts)

• Collaboration with the Host Pastors team to create a comprehensive and well-curated set of processes, resources, training and tools for hosts to develop as leaders 

• Churchome may also assign other duties or responsibilities, in its sole discretion.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of relevant work experience

• Formal pastoral licensing or training preferred

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Effective communication, both verbally and written.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment. 

• Confidentiality and Discretion; with higher levels of responsibility and authority comes a greater demand for discretion and wisdom.  

• Strong relationally and the ability to influence and be involved with training and equipping leaders.
