ALX is looking for a full time Manager of Outsourcing to join our Clinical Operations team. Reporting into the Executive Director, of Clinical Operations.

 

The Manager of Outsourcing will manage clinical trial outsourcing, clinical vendor selection and clinical vendor and site budget negotiation, management, and reporting process for clinical development programs. They will also define and implement processes, organization, and operating infrastructures focused on enabling the set-up of a new clinical outsourcing engagement. This role could have responsibility for large, complex programs across multiple work streams and be accountable for the success, effectiveness, and on-time delivery of all the applicable deliverables within those work streams.

 

Responsibilities:

Partner with clinical operations team and internal ALX Oncology stakeholders to develop, deliver, and maintain VM strategies and relationships.

Work with vendors to proactively manage risk, resolve issues, and address questions.

Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Legal, Finance, Clinical Operations, Data Management, etc.) on activities related to clinical trials.

Lead the evaluation, selection, negotiation, and contracting process with vendors in conjunction with functional teams.

Generate RFPs, RFIs, and budget templates supporting clinical operations management processes.

Support head of clinical operations in providing budget forecasts and cost-modeling for clinical trials, as needed.

Oversee the development and negotiation clinical site budgets, and clinical trial agreements with investigative sites in coordination with legal team.

Manage the negotiation of clinical development contracts, including MSAs and work orders for CROs and other clinical category vendors such as IRT and central laboratories.

Utilize insight from data analytics and tracking tools to support vendor performance management and cost-savings initiatives.

Support vendor governance activities, as required.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration, or related field.

7+ years’ experience in a relevant discipline

Experience working with clinical operations and accounts payable.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, plan proactively, and accomplish goals.

Strong attention to detail and meticulous follow-through

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Hybrid work model acceptable (i.e., part-time in South San Francisco office 2-3 days/week with flexibility to work part-time from home). 

 

Salary: 

Manager: $145,000-$160,000 DOE
