Job Title: Campaign Strategist

Position Summary:

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is seeking top talent for its Campaign Strategist position. The Campaign Strategy team is newly initiated within the Development Business Unit to amplify fundraising strategy across development, optimize audience activations, and enhance tactical approach with data-driven recommendations. The Campaign Strategist will report to the Campaign Strategy Director. This position is perfect for a highly motivated, strategic thinker who can synthesize several goals and provide solutions for complex and matrixed constituencies. This position requires a broad knowledge of fundraising including digital fundraising, direct response, peer-to-peer, planned giving, major gifts, annual fund, and special events.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Partner with Program and Portfolio Managers in the planning, development, and evaluation of integrated multichannel fundraising strategies to drive key audience objectives
• Work closely with Program and Portfolio managers to understand their respective goals and develop time-bound fundraising and engagement campaigns that help meet objectives
• Help align Annual Plans for all Development Departments into a cohesive, united year-long cadence of campaigns that amplify programmatic strategies
• Develop documentation to convey messaging priorities, strategic tactics, audience details, and channel-specific goals to share across Development, Marketing, and Communications to bring uniformity, clear direction, and data-driven targets to constituent touchpoints
• Coordinate with Dev Project Management group to manage a Development engagement calendar of events, communications, direct marketing, and multi-channel campaigns for transparency and coordination between development teams and audiences
• Offer creative solutions to optimize audience touch points to deliver best-in-class constituent experiences.
• Regularly prepare analysis on fundraising campaigns to determine effectiveness and present analysis to DBM, Program and Portfolio Managers.
• Partner with vendors to implement tent-pole campaigns and testing opportunities for multi-channel direct marketing initiatives for broad revenue impact
• Stay current on direct response, peer-to-peer and major giving trends to assist with maximizing opportunities for MJFF’s fundraising efforts
• Work closely with the Development Project Management team to incorporate feasibility, timeline, and processes into strategic campaign planning
• Be present at key cross-functional meetings to help activate, translate, and facilitate project strategies
• Be a vocal, thoughtful, and collaborative strategic expert and partner to align Development goals, audience optimization, and strategic implementation

Qualifications and Skills:

• History of proven experience in creating fundraising strategies for a variety of audiences Highly creative and analytical thinking skills
• Solutions oriented with demonstrated success in converting challenges into opportunities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong writing, editing, and presenting skills and the ability to translate programmatic ideas into strategic communications
• Innovative and continuous improvement mindset
• A demonstrated strong working knowledge of audience planning and integrated multi-channel fundraising
• Highly motivated and organized; self-starter with ability to take direction and participate effectively in a team environment

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
