Job Title: Foundation Giving Officer
Position Summary:
The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) is seeking top talent for its Foundation Giving Officer position. This role assists the Foundation & Corporate Giving team through strategically centralizing and managing Foundation Giving across principal and major gifts, Team Fox (MJFF’s grassroots community fundraising program), and annual giving. This role will manage a small portfolio of major gift donors, work across the Development Business Unit to deepen donor engagement, seek additional funds and help track forecasting and revenue. The position will collaborate with colleagues across MJFF to create impact by proactively expanding outreach and streamlining workflows in support of the Development Business Unit’s goal of raising new revenue. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Foundation & Corporate Giving with day-to-day management by other senior team members.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the Foundation & Corporate Giving team to support and maintain a portfolio of foundation giving relationships
- Assist team members to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward grants in support of research, educational, policy, DEI, and fundraising priorities with key foundation stakeholders
- Coordinate and assist team members with proposals, grant agreements, and presentation materials; create and implement proactive stewardship plans for partners, including but not limited to, drafting tailored features for blog, newsletter, websites, press releases, social media, and other outlets
- Support the team’s strategic re-engagement strategy plan for dormant relationships with foundations
- Perform administrative activities in support of the team including, but not limited to, high-end stewardship and solicitation mailings, curated communications, revenue tracking, update donor and prospect records, track and record action items, and update notes in CRM
- Awareness and engagement in conversation surrounding philanthropic trends and best practices in foundation giving, recommending new ideas as appropriate to enable MJFF to creatively secure funding
- Identify and compile relevant updates and articles of interest to share with key constituents
- Position requires travel approximately 10-15% of the year. Occasional weekend travel is required
Qualifications and Skills:
- History of proven success in framing grant proposals
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize information
- Strong research skills with the ability to use the information to engage former and new donors
- Excellent editing and writing capabilities
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to convert challenges into opportunities
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and emotional intelligence
- Functional Microsoft Office skills
- Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM software or equivalent software
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
