Job Title: Corporate Giving Officer 

Position Summary:  

The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) is seeking top talent for its Corporate Giving Officer positionThis role assists the Foundation & Corporate Giving team through strategically centralizing and managing Corporate Giving across principal and major gifts, Team Fox (MJFF’s grassroots community fundraising program), and annual givingThis role will manage a small portfolio of major gift donors, work across the Development Business Unit to deepen donor engagement, seek additional funds and help track forecasting and revenueThe position will collaborate with colleagues across MJFF to create impact by proactively expanding outreach and streamlining workflows in support of the Development Business Unit’s goal of raising new revenue. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Foundation & Corporate Giving with day-to-day management by other senior team members

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Work with the Foundation & Corporate Giving team to support and maintain a portfolio of corporate giving relationships 
  • Utilize the Corporate Giving database to identify opportunities for new relationships 
  • Conduct outreach calls to corporations to help grow funding 
  • Support the team’s strategic re-engagement plan for dormant relationships with corporations and organizations 
  • Perform administrative activities in support of the team including, but not limited to, high-end stewardship and solicitation mailings, curated communications, revenue tracking, managing the corporate sponsorship inbox, update donor and prospect records, track and record action items, and update notes in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) 
  • Engage in conversations surrounding philanthropic trends and best practices in corporate giving, recommending new ideas as appropriate to enable MJFF to creatively secure funding 
  • Identify and compile relevant updates and articles of interest to share with key constituents 
  • Position requires travel approximately 10-15% of the year. Occasional weekend travel is required 

 

Qualifications and Skills:  

  • Strong research skills with the ability to use the information to engage former and new donors 
  • History of proven success in managing external relationships   
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously 
  • Have a capacity to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments 
  • Be a self-starter with sound judgement and attention to detail 
  • Have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and emotional intelligence 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM software or equivalent software  
  • Functional Microsoft Office skills 
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed. Must have a valid Driver’s License. 

 

Salary and Benefits: 

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
