Job Title: Director, Workplace Technology & Support
Position Summary:
The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) is seeking top talent for its Director of Workplace Technology & Support position. The Director of Workplace Technology & Support is responsible for MJFF staff-related computing needs. This role is charged with delivering a top-notch user-centric experience for end-user software, equipment, and technical support that maximizes staff productivity and satisfaction. This senior-level, hands-on role requires a broad range of expertise in end-user computing, cloud computing, server/storage, networking, applications, telecommunications, AV equipment, and problem resolution.
This role reports to the SVP, Technology, manages a team of three IT professionals, and is responsible for the related on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The position will be expected to have a hybrid flex work schedule with at least 2 days per week in MJFF’s office in midtown Manhattan, New York City. Standard business hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver on the workplace technology and support needs of the organization through simple, cost-effective, and user-friendly solutions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the employees and business stakeholders to understand their needs and opportunities.
- Drive continual improvements to processes and operations and look for opportunities to increase self-service and leverage automation.
- Coach, grow, and motivate team members; encourage a more data-driven approach among the team.
- Reduce negative impact on staff productivity through proactive approaches to preventing and addressing incidents and outages.
- Identify, research, and keep apprised of emerging technologies, solutions, and strategies.
- Responsible for budget and financial management, as well as oversight of numerous vendor relationships.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven history of success managing computer technology equipment and software functions for an organization.
- A user-centric driven mindset and strong interpersonal communication skills to problem solve with both tech-savvy and non-tech-savvy users.
- Organizational planning and budgeting skills with demonstrated success in project implementation and team management.
- Technical knowledge of and expertise in network and systems administration, including Azure Cloud, O365, Intune, Azure ID Services, switches, firewalls, LAN, Teams telephony, wireless systems, Microsoft & Apple operating systems, VMWare, and Windows Server
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications and audio-video equipment
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000. In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
