Job Title: Project Manager (MarComms) 


Position Summary:
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (“the Foundation”) is seeking top talent for its Project Manager position.  Reporting to the Director of Project Management, this role will be responsible for managing department-specific and cross-functional initiatives from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high quality. The Project Manager works collaboratively across teams within the MarComms business unit and with external partners to coordinate workflows, maintain project documentation, and foster efficient, transparent communication. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who excels at organization, identifying opportunities for efficiency, cross-team collaboration, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

This position may be hybrid-flex with the opportunity to work out of the Foundation’s office in New York City or based remotely within the U.S. 


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Manage department-specific and cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with MarComms objectives 

  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential disruptions 

  • Develop and maintain key project management tools such as briefing documents, review/approval matrices, timelines, and status reports 

  • Support the continuous improvement of project management practices within the team by applying and modeling best practices 

  • Document and refine project-related processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency within the MarComms team 

  • Facilitate clear communication and alignment among internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration, transparency, and shared understanding 

  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing, onboarding, and mentoring of junior staff to build project management capacity within the team 

  • Foster a team culture rooted in collaboration, respect, transparency, and accountability, aligned with the Foundation’s core values 


Qualifications and Skills:  

  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices 

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, with the ability to turn challenges into actionable solutions 

  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and navigate fast-paced, deadline-driven environments 

  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Jira, or similar platforms is preferred 

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is a plus 


Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
