Job Title: Workplace Technology Specialist 


Position Summary: 
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (“the Foundation”) is seeking top talent for its Workplace Technology Specialist position.  This role provides high-quality technical support and training related to workplace technology. This position is key in identifying and understanding the workplace technology needs of staff and then helping to implement technology solutions for those needs. 

This is a hybrid-flex position that will require in-person attendance on a semi-regular basis at the Foundation’s office in New York City. 

 
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Work as part of a team to manage and resolve incoming Helpdesk requests 

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding the needs of employees and providing timely, effective, and friendly support  

  • Share technology onboarding for new staff  

  • Be the technical point person for the organization’s Intranet (SharePoint) 

  • Assist with IT helpdesk services in coordination with other team members 

  • Assist with project management of the implementation of IT solutions on an as needed basis 

  • Adhere to standard Helpdesk and the Foundation’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

 
Qualifications and Skills:  

  • Knowledge with working at a Helpdesk 

  • Knowledge of working with Microsoft 365, as an admin, in a support role. (Creating users, adding users to groups, etc.) 

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Excel, and Copilot 

  • Knowledge of supporting conference rooms (Microsoft Teams Rooms) 

  • Knowledge with Windows & Macs 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • This position occasionally requires off-hours work for emergency support requests or planned system upgrades 


Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000.  In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
