Job Title: Senior Systems Integration Architect
Position Summary:
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (“the Foundation”) is seeking top talent for its Senior Systems Integration Architect position. This position plays a role in designing, building, and managing a unified architecture across the Foundation’s enterprise data ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Data Systems, this role focuses on optimizing data flow, interoperability, and scalability across key platforms to support the Foundation’s operational and data-driven objectives. Working closely with internal data management resources and external technical consultants and vendors, this position develops technical solutions and architectural practices that align with the Foundation’s long-term strategic vision.
This position can be based anywhere in the U.S. and will be expected to work east coast hours (standard business hours are 9:00am – 5:00pmEST).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Architecture and Design: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive integration architecture across enterprise platforms, ensuring secure and scalable data exchange that meets the Foundation’s current and future needs
- Cross-Platform Integration: Design and implement integration solutions across major systems, applying best practices in API development, ETL, and middleware configurations to achieve seamless connectivity across key platforms
- Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to translate operational needs into scalable enterprise solutions, aligning project outcomes with the Foundation’s strategic goals
- Data Consistency and Flow Optimization: Establish enterprise-level data mapping, synchronization, and error-checking protocols to maintain data integrity and accessibility across systems
- Establish and Oversee Performance Metrics: Develop and manage performance monitoring frameworks in collaboration with data quality staff to track and optimize the efficiency of data integration across platforms Regularly review system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance data flow and scalability
- Documentation and Standards Governance: Develop and oversee documentation of integration standards and architectural workflows, using version control (GitHub) to ensure transparency and facilitate ongoing access and updates
- Implement and Enforce Security Protocols: Establish and maintain robust security and access control protocols within the enterprise architecture, ensuring that all data flows and integrations meet the Foundation’s security standards
- Develop and Manage Incident Response Protocols: Design and implement comprehensive incident response and recovery plans for the Foundation’s enterprise data ecosystem, ensuring preparedness for data breaches, system failures, or other critical events
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Relevant experience in systems integration and enterprise architecture, with a track record of developing, managing, and documenting complex multi-platform integrations
- Relevant experience with integration tools and methodologies, including API management, ETL processes, and middleware solutions
- Relevant experience in creating resilient enterprise architectures and optimizing data flows in complex, multi-system environments
- Strong analytical and strategic skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive enterprise-level projects and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Platform Familiarity (a plus): Experience with platforms such as Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, NetSuite, Adaptive, Domo, Smart Simple, Drupal (CMS), Jira, Asana, Office365, TriNet, Lattice, Quorum, and AWS
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000. In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
