Job Title: Fundraising Analyst

Position Summary: 
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (“the Foundation”) is seeking top talent for its Fundraising Analyst position.  This position is in the Fundraising Strategy & Operations (FSO) department, which drives revenue growth by optimizing fundraising efforts through growth strategies, data insights, streamlined technology and process management, and campaign support. This department is integral in helping the Foundation scale its mission through an expanded revenue base. As a key component of FSO, the Fundraising Analytics team manages the backend data warehouse and pipeline, ensures data governance, and provides strategic data support through reporting, advanced analytics, and data modeling.

The Fundraising Analyst plays an important role in driving data-informed decision-making to support the fundraising team’s strategic goals. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining insightful reports and dashboards to monitor revenue performance, identify trends, and uncover growth opportunities. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams and actively contribute to data analysis projects and working groups, helping to standardize practices and enhance data intelligence capabilities across the organization. Using SQL-based business intelligence tools, the role involves extracting and analyzing data to inform strategy, optimize processes, and improve outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to deliver high-impact, visible work that directly supports the Foundation's mission. 

This position can be based anywhere in the U.S.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, track, update, and report on key revenue metrics, with a focus on evaluating the ROI of various revenue sources and initiatives
  • Manage ad-hoc reporting requests, monitor Jira ticket intake, and deliver custom reports to support both short- and long-term projects and strategic explorations
  • Support the data analysis roadmap and working group efforts to bring every team under development to the same level of data intelligence practices and capabilities
  • Partner with the Fundraising Campaign and Enablement teams to generate audience lists for digital and non-digital communications using data analysis tools
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for fundraising teams and revenue managers. Keep data accurate and up to date on the BI platform, and analyze dashboard usage to identify optimization opportunities
  • Own and develop efficient data flows to extract insights from multiple databases using complex query statements; identify and resolve data discrepancies to maintain data accuracy and quality
  • Navigate the analytics stack (wrangling, exploring, modeling, validating, visualizing, socializing) to capture insightful data trends for multiple revenue sources
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for addressing fundraising team challenges, unlocking revenue opportunities, and enabling data-driven decision-making
  • Work closely with Technology and other analytics teams to monitor data quality, maintain consistency, and align reporting and analysis methodologies

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Foundational experience in Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Consulting with measurable success and achievement
  • Foundational experience building customized and interactive dashboards with BI tools such as Tableau, Domo, Power BI, etc.
  • Highly analytical, sharp, and innovative thinker
  • Commitment to data hygiene, project management and customer service
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex analytics to diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational skills: keen multi-tasker
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with rationale database; proficiency in Python, R, SPSS, and other scripting languages a plus
  • Experience with CRM, especially Salesforce, a plus


Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000.  In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
