Job Title: Marketing Intern

Position Summary: 
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (“the Foundation”) is seeking an Intern in our Marketing Department.  The Marketing Intern will work directly with marketing leads to support strategy execution advancing research priorities and brand growth. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to social media content development, data analyzation, and marketing strategy brainstorming. This internship will provide an opportunity to cross-collaborate with other resource teams and departments across the Foundation.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and draft engaging and informative social posts for review, ensuring consistent alignment with the Foundation’s style guide and brand standards. Track and evaluate performance of each post
  • Support social media team in monitoring social channels and external forums to identify emerging topics, brand maintenance, and crisis communications
  • Support content creation by developing script/copy, brainstorming content ideas, coordinating influencer collaborations, and trafficking assets for review by marketing and multimedia team members
  • Support tactical plans by strategizing social, email, and other marketing channels to help reach project goals
  • Provide monthly social and email performance reports. Analyze results and offer recommendations on optimizing campaigns
  • Conduct market research on latest industry trends and competitor analysis
  • Monitor inventory of promotional items such as print collateral and swag and coordinate delivery of materials to special events

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Must be available to work 15-20 hours/week
  • Experience with copywriting and major social media platforms is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills reflecting precise attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize initiatives accordingly
  • Creative, solutions-oriented with a proactive lens to problem solving

Salary:
The hourly range for this position is:

  • Undergraduate Students: $16-$18/hour
