Position: Assistant Store Manager

Reports to: Store Manager

Employment Status: Full Time

FSLA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary: The Assistant Store Manager will support the store manager in upholding standards with regards to customer service, staff development, and day-to-day operations. You will be an asset to creating a pleasant work environment where everyone works their best.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, leading by example
  • Unpack and display stock/merchandise
  • Use POS System to sell product
  • Maintain a clean and inviting store
  • Adhere to federal and state laws with regards to selling Alcohol, Tobacco, and Lottery products
  • Perform routine inventory
  • Open and close the store
  • Maintain company security and safety standards
  • Motivate and assist with training staff
  • Assume responsibility of the store in the store managers absence

Requirements:

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Basic math skills sufficient to complete orders, manager cash registers, and calculate inventory
  • Complete training/certification for selling Alcohol, Tobacco, and Lottery products
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 7+ hours
  • UST Certifications
