Position Overview
We are seeking a temporary, part-time Lower School Learning Support Assistant for the Spring 2026 semester to provide targeted academic support for students in Grades K–5. The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with classroom teachers and the Student Support Team to deliver in-class math and literacy support, as well as assist during weekly WIN (What I Need) intervention blocks. This role is ideal for someone who is collaborative, student-centered, and committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Job Opening is for Spring 2026 Semester (January 2026)
Hourly Salary Range (based on experience) is $25.00 - $32.00
Position is a Part-Time (approximately 10 hours per week)
* This temporary position is not eligible for benefits
Position Responsibilities

Provide targeted math and literacy support to students in K–5 classrooms

Deliver in-class assistance during core instructional periods and small-group learning activities

Support students during weekly WIN (What I Need) intervention blocks, adjusting to their individual needs

Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and the student support team to align strategies and interventions

What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Education or Special Education preferred

Teaching credential in Special Education (SPED) preferred

Experience working with elementary-aged children in school or enrichment settings

Strong ability to support early literacy development and foundational math skills

Flexible, patient, and able to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and families

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Warm, friendly, and student-centered demeanor

Ability to advocate for students’ needs and represent the school positively

A team-oriented mindset and a commitment to personal responsibility

Effective time management and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets)
