Dawson, a K-12 independent school of 535 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 112-acre campus, seeks a full-time Human Resources Generalist position. This position focuses on recruitment, but also assists with the other areas of HR such as payroll, benefits and compensation. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
-
At least 4+ years Human Resource experience is required

PHR certification preferred, but not required
-
Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's PEO system

Experience administering COBRA, ACA, EEO, Flexible Spending, 401(k), and other benefit programs in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with PEO and Director of Operations on the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, performance management, recognition, and training and development

Collaborate with the Director of Operations to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention Develop and coordinate recruitment and retention activities and execute best hiring and talent management practices

Determine training and development needs and develop programs to meet those needs

Investigate and follow through on formal complaints

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Collaborate with PEO on new hires, terminations, exit interviews, and benefits paperwork

Monitor unemployment claims and appeal when necessary

Manage worker's compensation claims to minimize losses

Review the Dawson Employee Handbook yearly for change and suggestions

Maintain job descriptions, performance evaluations, and compensation programs

Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employment relationship and promote high employee morale

Provide support for payroll administration responsibilities

Provide support for Summer Camp administration responsibilities

Participate in Dawson community events and support faculty, staff, students, and families

Seek out and participate in professional growth opportunities in independent school development
The salary range for this full-time, non-exempt position is $60,000-$67,000 and commensurate with experience.
