Dawson, a K-12 independent school of 535 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 112-acre campus, is seeking Substitute Teachers starting August 1, 2024. The focus of these  positions  is to teach students on a short-term basis as a temporary replacement for a regular classroom teacher, typically using the regular teacher’s lesson plan.  Dawson is a growing and passionate educational community dedicated to the healthy development and education of all of its students.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Follow lesson plans and instructions designed by absent teacher

  • Supervise school or student activities 

  • Enforce school and class rules to maintain order in the classroom

  • Operate equipment such as computers or audiovisual aids to supplement presentations

  • Additional duties as deemed necessary by the School

The hourly salary for this temporary position is $22.00 per hour with a guarantee of three hours of pay each time you come to work. This position is not eligible for benefits.  Free lunch is provided.  This position is available on an ongoing basis.
