Bus Driver Opportunities for the 2025–26 School Year (Regular / Part-Time)
Effective August 1, 2025, Dawson School—a K-12 independent school located just east of Boulder—is seeking qualified Bus Drivers for the 2025–26 school year. This position is available on an ongoing basis. Dawson is a growing and passionate educational community dedicated to the healthy development and education of all of its students.

Professional and Personal Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

  • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire, a Colorado Commercial Driver’s License (CDL); PS2 endorsement preferred. Dawson will provide training for candidates needing to obtain the PS2 endorsement.

  • Ability to pass all required background checks as initiated by Dawson.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including use of email, calendar tools, and internet navigation.

  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with students, colleagues, and all members of the school community.
    Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

  • Commitment to modeling Dawson’s core virtues: respect, compassion, courage, and integrity.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across school constituencies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • This position typically requires 20–30 hours per week, with regular shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on school days. Additional hours may be available for evening or mid-day shifts, particularly in support of athletic teams and special events.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00 to $25.00, commensurate with experience. This position is benefits-eligible, including medical, dental, and 401(k) plan options. Lunch is provided at no cost.
