Job Title: Marketing Manager – Demand Generation

Position Summary 

Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Marketing Manager - Demand Generation to execute high-performing multichannel marketing campaigns that support prospective student engagement and enrollment growth. 

This role is responsible for building and optimizing email, SMS, and lifecycle communication strategies that guide prospective students from inquiry through onboarding. The ideal candidate combines strong marketing automation experience with a data-driven mindset, creative problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate across teams. This position plays a key role in ensuring SCU’s marketing efforts are efficient, personalized, and aligned with institutional goals. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute email and SMS marketing campaigns that engage and convert prospective students 

  • Build and manage automated journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) using Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder 

  • Create, test, and optimize segmentation, dynamic content, and A/B testing strategies to improve engagement and conversion 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Enrollment, Creative, Content, and IT teams to enhance campaign effectiveness and support prospective student nurture, application conversion, and onboarding 

  • Maintain campaign calendars, dashboards, and performance reports that track KPIs and provide actionable insights 

  • Ensure all marketing automation efforts reflect SCU’s brand voice, messaging standards, and enrollment goals 

  • Contribute to the development of creative campaigns, including student stories, testimonial content, and digital assets 

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage student workers to support campaign execution and creative development 

General Responsibilities 

  • Uphold data governance standards and maintain marketing data hygiene across platforms 

  • Stay current with Salesforce Marketing Cloud updates, marketing automation best practices, and compliance requirements (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA) 

  • Support lead scoring, lifecycle mapping, and journey optimization projects 

  • Contribute to overall marketing strategy, process improvements, and system integrations 

  • Participate in regular planning meetings and cross-departmental collaboration 

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of SCU’s mission, enrollment growth, and brand awareness 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field 

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification preferred 

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder) or similar platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Klaviyo, etc. 

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud (or other CRM systems) including Lead, Contact, Account, and Opportunity management 

  •  2+ years of experience creating engaging short-form video content using tools like Canva, Adobe Premiere, or similar 

  • Proven ability to develop, execute, and optimize multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, digital ads, and landing pages) 

  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation, personalization, and campaign performance analytics 

  • Experience managing projects independently and collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
