THE ROLE

As a Seasonal Cashier/Sales Associate, you will be instrumental in delivering a premium shopping experience, upholding Century 21’s core values as the foundation for your work. You will expertly handle all sales transactions and customer service inquiries, including complex returns and exchanges, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. Additionally, you will be responsible for proactively engaging with customers to drive sales, ensuring all merchandise in your department is beautifully presented, and actively participating in store maintenance and loss prevention efforts. This is a temporary role and will end at the end of the 2025 Holiday Season.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greet customers warmly, answer their questions, and provide help as needed.
• Accurately scan items, handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, and issue receipts.
• Assist customers with returns and exchanges, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized complex and self-checkout area.
• Maintain a high sense of urgency to complete fast price check inquiries and complete the sale to avoid delays at the register complex.
• Actively sign-up guests with our C21 loyalty program.
• Be highly aware of any possible internal or external theft and alert Loss Prevention when necessary.
• Understand the operation of the cash register and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Attendance and Punctuality are a requirement.
• Operate registers and perform general checkout functions.
• Ensure a speedy checkout as needed.

• Previous Sales / Retail experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the needs of the business.

 

COMPENSATION $18/hr
