THE ROLE
The lead cashier is responsible for overseeing the cashier team and ensuring smooth and efficient operations at the checkout counter. They are also responsible for handling guest transactions and resolving any issues or concerns that arise. By prioritizing friendly, efficient, and accurate guest service, we not only meet but exceed the expectations of our guests, leaving a lasting positive impression and fostering loyalty to our brand.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operate registers and perform general checkout functions.
- Ensure a speedy checkout as needed.

- Provides clear direction and the support needed to maintain an efficient register complex environment.
- Maintain a high sense of urgency to complete fast price check inquiries and complete the sale to avoid delays at the register complex.
- Be highly aware of any possible internal or external theft and alert Loss Prevention when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
- Understand the operation of the cash register and follow all cash handling procedures.
- Communicate and address guest conflicts and provide resolution.
- Assist cashiers with requests such as price checks.
- Ensure line control and speedy checkout as needed.
- Supervision of the outpost self – checkout area.
- Ensure breaks are taken as scheduled and that staffing meets the needs of the business.
- Attendance and Punctuality is a requirement.

- Previous Sales / retail experience

- Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the needs of the business dictate.

COMPENSATION $20/hr
