This position will be located onsite in Kansas City.
Position Overview: As a Leasing Specialist, you will be responsible for marketing, leasing, and promoting our Class-A properties to ensure high occupancy rates and resident satisfaction. This position also requires creative marketing and networking background. This position will report to the Property Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use a keen eye to ensure the property presents well.
- Aggressively manage the lead to lease process.
- Timely and detailed follow-up at each stage of the leasing process and in a manner beneficial to the prospective resident.
- Conduct market research to identify target demographics and trends.
- Develop and implement leasing strategies to attract potential residents. Skilled at various approaches to closing to achieve high closing ratios.
- Host open houses, property tours, and community events to promote the property.
- Contribute to and oversee postings to ILS' and social media
- Assist with all move-in and move-out processes including the collection of deposits and fees associated with the move-in.
- Assist in planning, preparation, and implementation of events: leasing events for driving occupancy, leasing team target programs, and prospective resident and resident events.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and address their inquiries and concerns.
- Stay informed about the local rental market and competition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business, marketing, or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in leasing or property management preferred.
- Strong sales and/or management experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or retail industries is preferred.
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative sales and marketing techniques.
- A passion for helping people find their next home.
- Excellent customer service skills with a can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience with Yardi and Livly is a plus.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing and Equal Employment.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.
