Overview of position:

The Guest Teacher provides classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of learning across a variety of grade levels and subject areas. Guest Teachers implement lesson plans, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support the mission and values of Seven Hills by fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning experience for all students.

 

Responsibilities:

• Implement the classroom teacher's lesson plans and daily schedule

• Take attendance and complete required documentation

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment

• Supervise recess, lunch, and other assigned duties while upholding school expectations

• Assign work or homework as directed by the classroom teacher

• Communicate relevant classroom updates to the teacher and administration

• Follow all Seven Hills policies, procedures, and safety protocols

 

Successful candidates will:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree (required); teaching credential preferred.

• Teach effectively across multiple grade levels and subject areas.

• Understand child development for students ages 5–14.

• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

• Be reliable, punctual, flexible, and professional.

• Use inquiry-based, student-centered instructional practices.
