The Center for the Rights of Abused Children seeks a professional communications and public relations associate for a full-time, hybrid, in-person, or remote position. Preference will be given to candidates who prefer in-person work.

 

The communications specialist develops content, campaigns, and communication materials in a variety of mediums from digital and video to traditional press releases. Qualified candidates will be entrepreneurial, self-driven and must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Projects include writing press releases, pitching and connecting with the press for key associate interviews, helping arrange events, composing web copy, newsletters, social posts and more. Top candidates will have strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills; be well organized and friendly, and be assertive and comfortable reaching out to others. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience in a related or adjacent field such as political work, a newsroom, or an advertising agency.
