About the Role:

As a Staff Accountant, you will have a range of reconciliation and reporting responsibilities and will be involved in the successful day-to-day operation of the McCourt family properties and other family operations. You will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting, and a multitude of accounting activities including receivable processing, general ledger preparation, monthly financial reporting, and year-end audit and tax preparation. ​

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the month end close process including:
    • Prepare the roll forward and reconcile balance sheet accounts (PP&E and asset accounts in particular)​
    • Reconcile A/​R and A/​P to Aged Trial Balance and G/​L
    • Prepare the month end bank reconciliations for bank accounts
    • Perform flux analysis of P&L at month end
  • Prepare monthly recurring journal entries for multiple entities
  • Perform Budget vs. Actual analysis, working with department heads to update quarterly forecasts
  • Perform annual Budget preparation
  • Review and record corporate credit card transactions and general credit card administration
  • Perform intercompany elimination entries and reconciliation quarterly
  • Assist in preparation and provide support to internal tax team for annual tax return ​

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an Accounting and Financial Reporting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
  • Experience working with Accounting ERP software, NetSuite highly preferred
  • Experience working with SQL, BI software experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (demonstrate excel proficiency, including Pivot tables)
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude who enjoys working proactively
  • Problem solver who is eager to find solutions in collaboration with the other team members, when needed
  • Working efficiently, effectively, creatively, and with minimal direction to achieve large amounts of deliverables under strict deadlines while producing exceptional work products and outcomes.
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

 

 Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 - $87,000 annually. The actual salary offer will be determined on factors including the qualifications, experience, skills, and abilities of the applicant. This role is also eligible for an incentive bonus.
