Wisetek is currently searching for a Production/Operations Manager for our Winchester, VA facility.

 

Job Purpose: Has overall responsibility for the day-to-day production/operations activities incorporating the Planning, Logistics, Inventory, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering and its staff. Has responsibility for ensuring all relative performance objectives in relation to quality, cost and delivery are met. 

 

Reporting to the VP of Operations and working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. This position is based in our Winchester, VA Facility.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but not limited to the following:

·        Provide leadership & supervision of all production related activities

·        Lead and support Environment, Health and Safety policy

·        Maintain excellent inventory control, in a complex environment

·        Lead and support Management systems within ISO standards, including all procedures and records that may be required.

·        Implement and manage production through KPIs

·        Maximizing the efficiency of production lines and ensuring the effective employment utilization

·        Ensure site operates to excellence in Environmental and Quality objectives and systems

·        Support Operational Excellence Programs – Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S etc.

·        Lead and support employee selection process

·        Achieve excellence in employee relations, fostering a team environment

·        Accountable for the training, development and performance management of team members in the Manufacturing Team

·        Maintain a safe and showcase workplace at all times

 

 KEY REQUIREMENTS:

·        Experience in a similar or related role. Any electronics/I.T. industry experience and knowledge are a distinct advantage

·        Third level qualification in related field an advantage

·        Proven ability and track record to motivate, influence and train people

·        Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

·        Excellent organizational and administrative skills

·        Ability to work to agreed deadlines

·        Good computer skills with high level of competency in Microsoft Office suite

 

Would expect the person to have 8-10 in this industry, with upwards of 5 yrs. at management level.
