Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on soldering, polymerics, and cable/harness operations typical of an avionics/electronics technician, including precision work with small components and ensuring high-quality connections.
  • Integrate small form factor avionics, including optics work and integration, ensuring that all systems meet rigorous performance standards.
  • Assist engineering teams with creating and updating manufacturing documentation, and aid in defining processes and internal procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Support the setup of our facility and lab to ensure optimal workflow and compliance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to achieving AS9100 certification, ensuring all activities adhere to aerospace quality management standards.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.
  • Assist with transition from development to production, including qualification schedules and first articles.
  • Take on testing-related tasks, performing various tests on avionics systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Adhere to ESD and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of technician experience in a related field.
  • NASA certifications: Soldered Electrical Connections (8739.3), Polymerics (8739.1), Cable and Wire Harness (8739.4).
  • IPC certifications: IPC J-STD-001 (Soldering), IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies).
  • Strong dexterity and precision, ability to perform detailed and high-quality work.
  • High standards of work ethic, dedication, teamwork, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder).

Pay Range:

  • $35.00 - $60.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
