Essential Functions

The Head of Community Partnerships (based in California) is responsible for developing strategic relationships with health and community-based organizations that serve the Medicaid population. The Head of Community Partnerships will have a robust network across California and be strong in building key partnerships through meetings, presentations, events, phone and email follow-up activities, and appropriate hand-offs to other executives. The Head of Community Partnerships will utilize their background and experience to build trust with community-based health and social service organizations, prospective customers, and channel partners, serving priority populations. The Head of Community Partnerships will be provided with tools, resources, and support from executive leaders to reach more community members, generate new business leads, and build Pear Suite’s brand.


Responsibilities

  • Work with the leadership team and operational leaders to co-design a business development strategy to increase tech-enabled service utilization

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to execute outreach strategies across various channels and throughout California

  • Generate leads from industry lists, company websites, and other internet sources

  • Conduct meetings with potential prospects and partners—healthcare, social services, and community-based organizations—including demonstrating product capabilities and presenting accurate and compelling information about Pear Suite and our team of community health workers

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of healthcare trends, social determinants of health challenges, health and social solutions, and health navigation strategies

  • Understand the Pear Suite platform and workflows to align capabilities with customer and partner needs and interests

  • Track all activities in the customer relationship management database

  • Develop new and existing relationships with referral partners to support growth goals

  • Establish collaborative partnerships with universities, employers, community-based organizations, housing agencies, nonprofits, industry associations, and other groups to expand our organization’s position in the marketplace and reach in the community

  • Attend in-person and virtual events to increase company awareness, build brand position, and secure more partnerships

  • Achieve key results and objectives, both in the short and long term


Requirements

  • Interest in serving underserved communities of diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities

  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable communicating by email, video conference, and phone

  • Strong computer skills; ability to learn and operate web-based systems effectively

  • Confidentiality when dealing with confidential matters or sensitive subjects

  • Comfortable with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (i.e. Hubspot)

  • Willingness to expand scope of role to meet changing market demands

  • Develop strong professional relationships to increase partnerships and referrals

  • Ability to quickly learn, particularly product offerings and industry trends

  • Must be independent, self-motivated, and success-driven

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
