Essential Functions

The Business Development Associate is an entry- to mid-level, salaried position that is responsible for generating new business opportunities, from sourcing qualified leads and establishing initial contact to facilitating follow up activities and closing deals. The Business Development Associate will support sales executives and be responsible for day-to-day interactions with prospective customers across the healthcare industry—healthcare providers, health plans, community-based organizations, and digital health companies. The Partnerships Associate will be provided with tools, resources, and support from executive leaders to generate new business leads and build Pear Suite’s brand. The Business Development Associate will also support other strategic initiatives of the company.


Responsibilities

  • Works with leadership to determine strategic business development goals

  • Helps design and execute the sales plan to drive revenue and reduce churn

  • Assists with marketing strategies across various channels

  • Generate leads from industry lists, company websites, and other internet sources

  • Conducts meetings with potential prospects, including demonstrating product capabilities and presenting accurate and compelling sales information

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of relevant healthcare trends, priorities, and challenges, in addition to how Pear Suite aligns and supports these opportunities 

  • Completes all sales meeting preparation and follow-up in an effective and timely manner

  • Manages, tracks, and reports on all sales activities and results

  • Develops relationships with existing referral partners as well as generate new referral partnerships to support growth goals

  • Attends in-person and virtual events to present product capabilities, increase company awareness, and convert leads into prospects

  • Meet or exceed designated short term and long-term sales goals


Requirements

  • Familiarity with the needs and interests of health plans, federally-qualified health centers, social service providers, and public agencies

  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable communicating by email, video conference, and phone

  • Strong computer skills; ability to learn and operate web-based systems effectively

  • Confidentiality when dealing with confidential matters or sensitive subjects

  • Comfortable with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (i.e. Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.)

  • Develop strong professional relationships to increase partnerships and referrals

  • Ability to quickly learn, particularly product offerings and industry trends

  • Must be independent, self-motivated, and success-driven

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
