Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of exceptional customer service through daily telephone interactions with patients
- Gathering health information via telephone, and collaborating with anesthesiologists to determine patient safety for surgery in an outpatient setting
- Providing pre and post-operative education for patients via telephone
- Collaborating with surgery scheduling to ensure efficiency in surgery schedule
- Efficiently manage competing priorities in fast-paced environment
- Navigate within the EMR (Epic) to review patient history and physical and collect relevant health information
- Troubleshoot/problem solve EMR and IT situations that may arise
- Maintains nursing practice in accordance with written policies and in compliance with various regulatory and accrediting agencies
Requirements:
- ADN with relevant experience required; BSN preferred
- Current KS RN license required (or multi-state including KS)
- A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a critical care setting, such as OR, ICU, PACU or equivalent is preferred
- Previous telephonic nursing experience is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
