About the Job
We are currently seeking an intern for Nexant’s Louisville, Colorado office for the Summer of 2018. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical engineering support for Nexant's Utility Services business unit. Specific responsibilities will include: performing energy engineering services for utility and end-use clients, field inspections of newly installed equipment, reviewing energy efficiency projects, database management, and other related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for energy efficiency and sharing it with others.

Duties and Responsibilities
• The majority of the work will include completing site inspections for residential and commercial utility customers
• Other potential responsibilities may include:
o Assist Project Engineers with energy audits and performing energy savings calculations
o Assist Project Engineers with drafting reports to summarize results and recommend savings amounts and incentive payments
o Communicate with utility customers, subcontractors and clients
• Willingness to work up to 40 hours per week during summer (Summer 2018)
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Sophomore standing or better or a first year graduate student in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, Building Systems or similar engineering degree track
• Knowledge or interest in pursuing a career in energy efficiency or the building efficiency industry
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Must have own car and be willing to travel around the Denver metro area, with limited travel around the state of CO
• Must be able to travel locally up to approximately 50% of the time
