About the Job
We are seeking a project analyst to join the Strategy & Planning team to work on the research design associated with energy efficiency program planning, delivery and evaluation with a focus on survey design, analysis, and report writing.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Mid-level research design and analysis support: survey design, data collection, quantitative and qualitative analytics of survey responses, customer and project research, etc.
• Develop surveys for mixed-mode implementation (telephone, web-based, in-person) with a research focus toward customer attitudes, behavior, and motivation of energy efficiency opportunities and programs
• Conduct primary data collection efforts through interviews with energy efficiency program staff and involved contractors and trade allies
• Conduct secondary data collection efforts through research of industry documents, papers, and resources
• Conduct analysis of survey responses utilizing Microsoft Excel, SPSS, or other similar statistical or qualitative analysis software
• Develop recommendations for energy efficiency program design changes, enhancements, etc..based on analysis of survey responses and secondary research
• Support process and impact evaluations for energy efficiency programs
• Support and assist with input for report writings; contribute to draft reports, including results and actionable recommendations
• Support senior staff with development of presentations, papers and proposals
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social sciences (i.e. psychology, sociology, public policy, communications research, etc.)
• - 3+years of experience designing, fielding, and analyzing surveys, preferably in a consulting environment
• Demonstrated interest in market research
• Experience in energy engineering, environmental policy or sustainability field a plus
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel
• Experience in SPSS, R, Stata or other statistical or qualitative analysis software is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
• Experience preparing draft reports detailing both qualitative and quantitative findings
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skill
• Excellent computer skills are mandatory
