About the Job
We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to support our accounting department in our San Francisco, California office. The Sr. Accountant is responsible for the monthly maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals and complete balance sheet reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis. Must be able to remain focused in a fast paced environment and be available to work after hours as needed. This position supports and reports to the Accounting Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all the GL activities associated with the month-end close process
• Reconcile all US bank accounts and assist with the reconciliations of subsidiary companies bank accounts on monthly basis
• At month-end ensure all A/P vouchers and cash disbursements have been posted and to ensure that all monthly recurring journal entries including payroll, along with all inter company transactions have been prepared and posted
• Develop, coordinate and evaluate monthly accruals and allocations as needed
• Prepare and update prepaid transactions, L/T, deposits, project advances, maintain the fixed asset module and calculate depreciation expense and other schedules as directed by the Accounting Manager and/or the Controller
• Gather all information from subsidiaries to prepare Inter-Company reconciliations
• Maintain a schedule and prepare and reconcile city and property tax statements, along with the monthly and quarterly sales and use tax filings
• Interface with external auditors and provide analysis as required
• Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by the Accounting Manager, Controller or CFO

Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• A background in project management systems and government cost accounting in a multi-office environment is a plus
• Experience in international subsidiaries and foreign currency transactions
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (in US preferred)
• Experience with Cisco financial/accounting system is a strong plus
• Detail orientated with an ability to work under tight deadlines is essential
• Strong Excel and computer skills
• Strong analytical and organization skills
• Work well with minimum supervision and a team player
• Experience with systems of internal control
