About the Job

We are seeking an energy engineer to lead the customer outreach and project development efforts in Southern California. This individual will play a key role in utility programs and business development. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with buildings and other facilities on energy efficiency, retro-commissioning, and data analytics. This person should be experienced in the field and be able to perform site surveys, functional and point-to-point testing, and be able to navigate through various energy management and building automation systems.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead local marketing and outreach efforts, and manage customer relationships

• Sign up customers to participate in utility driven energy savings programs

• Develop and sell energy savings projects

• Perform field engineering surveys, testing and data collection

• Installing data loggers, perform functional and point-to-point testing

• Coordinate with engineering team as required for analysis and reporting

• Perform and review energy calculations and data analysis

• Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Strong foundation in sales and customer relationship management

• Well versed in commercial HVAC systems and building controls

• Strong background in retrocommissioning and commissioning practices

• Energy Modeling (eQuest, Energy Pro) preferred but not required

• PE or CEM preferred but not required

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record

• Must be able to travel locally up to approximately 50% of the time.
