We are currently seeking a hands- on Senior DevOps Engineer to join Nexant’s Operations team at our office in San Francisco, CA. The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, managing and supporting development and production infrastructure. The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep understanding of cloud and colocation datacenter technologies, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent automation skills, and great communication skills.

• Work as part of a global team of DevOps engineers in a highly agile (often changing and conflicting priorities) environment, with focus on efficient daily operation while progressing on strategic initiatives

• Build, manage and support public and private cloud infrastructure

• Work with Development teams to develop processes for CI/CD pipeline and automation infrastructure

• Implement best practices for monitoring, troubleshooting, incident and SLA tracking

• Create/maintain technical and functional documentation

• Additional duties as assigned.

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 5+ years working in a DevOps organization

• 5+ years of Linux/Unix/Windows System Administration experience (including DNS, SMTP, TCP/IP, LDAP, firewalls, load balancing, routing/switching, monitoring and web applications)

• Hands-on programming (Perl/Python/Ruby/Shell/Java) and automation skills

• Strong knowledge and experience with cloud/virtualization technologies including VMware, AWS, and OpenStack

• Experience with packaging, configuration management and deployment tools

• Proficient experience with Git, SVN, and Jenkins

• Practical experience with MySQL, Jetty, Tomcat, Apache, Analytics and Reporting solutions is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
