About the Job
This position supports our client engagements and multi-subscriber offerings. Working under the direction of more experienced staff, an Analyst collects information, analyzes for trends and key findings, and prepares text or PowerPoint sections for incorporation into client Reports. An analyst typically works on a few projects at one time, thereby necessitating excellent ability to multi-task, work with minimum supervision, exercise good judgment and communicate with a wide variety of colleagues.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collecting information from a variety of sources such as pre-existing intellectual capital, trade statistics, internet searches, and through primary market research
  • Analyze the information collected through a variety of established methodologies such as supply/demand/trade balances, price forecasting methodologies, or cash flow models
  • Assist senior staff in the preparation of reports and presentations describing the results of projects
  • Assist in proposal or prospectus preparation as requested by senior staff
  • Other duties as necessary to ensure excellent client service.

Qualifications
  • Primary degree in a subject relevant to the Energy and Chemical Industries, generally Chemical Engineering, but also chemistry/biochemistry
  • Relevant higher degree is a plus (Masters, MBA, PhD)
  • Coursework or experience background in the use of excel spreadsheet models and technical analysis and markets, and in developing formal written reports
  • Knowledge of process simulation (e.g. using Aspen Plus)
  • Successful internship in a relevant area of focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as client interface capabilities.
