Nexant is currently seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to develop and manage a range of marketing initiatives including digital marketing, content marketing, field enablement, demand generation, and thought leadership. The role will focus on effectively positioning and differentiating Nexant’s technology-enabled utility services, as well as managing and implementing utility energy programs on behalf of our clients. To be successful in this role, you should have experience across several marketing specialties including digital marketing, field and product marketing, customer marketing, competitive analysis, demand creation, offers, and sales tools.


This role must have supervisory and staff management experience; work effectively in a team environment; and work well as an individual contributor for marketing subject matter expertise. This position will be based in Hinsdale, IL


Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides marketing project and staff management, marketing client management, client communication, contractual/SOW compliance, brand development and compliance, client-specific strategy, campaign design, client presentations, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement with minimal direction from leadership

• Works with a cross functional team to implement targeted field enablement programs, tools, case studies, and customer references

• Develops and support product marketing programs and demand generation campaigns

• Collaborates with Nexant subject matter experts to develop marketing collateral and content

• Conducts and enable sales with competitive analysis

• Oversees marketing account operations

• Responsible for all phases of marketing strategy (conception, planning, development, execution, results) to increase profitability

• Participates in new business development initiatives

• Attends to the needs of clients, seeking ways to add value and proactively communicating on a regular basis

• Manages risk analysis by looking for and reporting potential roadblocks to budget, resources, and timelines

• Strengths: Thinks strategically, creatively, and innovatively; strong leadership and coaching abilities; sales/customer service focused; exceptional communication (verbal/presentation and written); expert organizational abilities; analytical skills to forecast or see trends/challenges; discretion/good judgment


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BBA, BA, or BS) in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, or related field or equivalent experience required

• 5-15 years of professional marketing experience

• Utility and/or energy industry experience is a plus

• Superior time management and organizational capabilities, including the ability to deliver on deadlines and manage a high-volume workload; superior attention to detail

• Polished presentation and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

• Experience developing and supporting product marketing programs and demand generation campaigns

• CRM experience, preferably Salesforce.com

• Team player with the desire to work on multiple exciting initiatives and programs
