The Nexant Business Processing Technology team’s goal is to increase the efficiency, speed, and quality of application processing while providing an exceptional customer experience. We work to configure and maintain instances of Nexant’s iEnergy/DSM Central, which is used by our Data Specialists to process applications and provides a front end for consumers to apply for rebates. Additionally, we support the ancillary systems that are used by the Business Processing group. Nexant is looking for a System Administrator (Analyst I) to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks.  Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.  This position will support under the Utility Services and Rebate Processing group in our Murray, UT office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

                    Build, configure, troubleshoot, diagnose and correct software and hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades in accordance with DevOps and ITIL practices.

                    Perform all patching, scanning, and imaging in accordance with standard Change Management and Government processes.

                    Add, remove, or update user account information in various systems.

                    Perform project lead responsibilities for all new technologies which may require interfacing with customers, VIPs, Business Process users, and participate in weekly status meetings.

                    Provide hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support, field questions pertaining to user inquiries/present solutions, and ensure timely resolution of all Service Requests.

                    Create and maintain continuity documentation, and manage Licensing for software systems.

                    Recommend software and hardware enhancements, and verify proper system operation through observation to detect errors.

                    Ensure Business Processing System uptime during business hours and when Business Processing Systems go down, investigate and resolve within defined SLAs.

                    RCA all incidents to ensure that the root of the issue is resolved and not just resolution of the symptoms.

                    Build Projects and Service Desks as requested/required in Jira.

                    Configure software and maintain staging and production instances in parity.

                    Raise information, bug and feature requests to the development team or senior support specialists.

                    Maintain hardware, follow up on warranty or servicing as needed, and work with Office Manager for ordering and use of the current stock of hardware.

                    Work with 3rd party groups to ensure support and resolution of Business Processing Systems

                    Process Onboarding/Offboarding and update asset databases

                    Process flat files

                    Work with knowledge management to document support of all systems.

                    All duties and responsibilities of a Technical Support Specialist

                    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

                    6 years of work experience, Bachelor's or technical degree plus 2 years of work experience, or a combination of education and work experience in IT, data analytics, database administration, or system administration.

                    Strong understanding of Excel formulas and logic.

                    Experience with problem management, incident resolution, and providing root cause analysis.

                    General understanding of troubleshooting, software, hardware, networks, etc.

                    Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office or G Suite.

                    Fluent in both written and verbal English. As well as excellent communication skills with clients, contractors, and all levels of internal employees.

                    Experience in the following desired but not required:

o   Laserfiche or other document retention and workflow software;

o   Qualtrics or other survey software;

o   Five9 or other VoIP/VPBX software;

o   DSM/application processing systems;

o   Jasper, Tableau, or other reporting software;

o   Net+, Security+, CCENT, or other certification.
