About the Job
We are seeking an entry-level engineer to perform energy engineering calculations in support of our delivery of energy efficiency programs for CenterPoint Energy from our office in Houston, TX.  Projects include, but are not limited to, energy savings measures in the areas of lighting, HVAC, and retrocommissioning.

Duties and Responsibilities 
Perform energy engineering services for utility and end-use clients, including energy savings project reviews and calculations (including development of reusable calculation tools)
Conduct on-site field inspections and install monitoring equipment
Assist project managers in preparing proposals for potential utility sponsored energy efficiency programs
Write reports to summarize results and to recommend savings amounts and incentive payments
Make recommendations for program design changes and process improvements
Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably with a focus or some coursework in building science and sustainability
0-3 years of work experience in energy engineering
Understanding of building systems and the principles used in estimating energy consumption and savings
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, MS Office Suite, and preferably Google Docs and G Suite
Organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills are required
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with clients and all levels of internal employees
Self-motivation and exceptional follow-through
Ability to work through difficult tasks in a professional manner
Must be able to pass a criminal and financial background screening
On track to receive P.E. and/or C.E.M. is desirable
