We are currently seeking an Outreach Coordinator 1 that will be based in Salt Lake City, UT.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in energy efficiency and have the right mix of technical ability, program expertise, and interpersonal skills to educate and inspire energy-saving actions for customers and vendors that are engaged with the Dominion Energy and Rocky Mountain Business programs. Specific responsibilities will include: becoming well-versed in the ThermWise and wattsmart Business Programs, fielding phone calls and responding to emails from vendors and customer inquiries regarding applications or participation in the incentive programs, support applicants to help them complete incentive/rebate applications and submitting them to processing on behalf of the customer or contractor. In some cases, this candidate may be asked to attend meetings with customers or vendors to help support and train them on program requirements and application completion

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

      Think big-picture and support the goal to influence commercial customers to be energy efficient

      Join a team of technical Outreach staff to promote energy efficiency through formal and informal vendor networks

      Conduct training and educational Outreach efforts with vendors who sell, design, install, and market energy efficient technologies

      Communicates effectively with subcontractors and clients regarding program requirements and benefits. Earn and maintain customer, vendor, and client trust and continually build relationships.

      Develop tools to illustrate energy project economics to customers and vendors.

      Perform due-diligence project review for program applicants and coordinating on-site inspection activities.

      Provided a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.

      Communicates effectively as part of a team approach with other departments in servicing customers and vendors.

      Conducts site visits and identify energy efficiency measures that qualify for energy efficiency incentives and rebates and/or evaluate installed equipment to ensure equipment conforms to the incentive specifications.

      Completes assignments and responds to inquiries in a timely manner.

      Other duties as directed.

 

Qualifications:

 

      Associates, vocational, bachelor or master’s degree with 3+ years HVAC and/or other building trades-related experience preferred.

      Excellent written communication and superb interpersonal skills required.

      Demonstrated customer service skills.

      Technical sales or contracting experience is a plus.

      Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple time-dependent tasks.

      Background with commercial building systems - particularly HVAC systems, is a plus.

      Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems is a plus

      Demonstrated email and written communication skills.

      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word is required and experience with SalesForce is a plus.

      Ability to learn and operate company proprietary computer software is required.

      Technical aptitude, with the ability to appropriately apply technical service base to individual customer needs.

      Demonstrated aptitude and understanding of Sales and Sales Structures.

      Strong attention to detail and follow-through in a fast pace environment.

      Knowledge of energy efficiency or the building efficiency industry is a plus.

      Knowledge of proper building construction and codes, and/or field experience in performing inspections involving detailed analysis is desirable.

      Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems is a plus.

      Must be able to lift, push and or pull 50 pounds.

      Ability to use small tools, and ladders.

      Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

      Completion of specialized courses in residential, commercial and industrial practices, HVAC, or energy efficiency is a plus.

      Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license, insurance, and a personal vehicle to visit customer sites.
