About the Job
Nexant is seeking a Program Outreach Representative to support the Energy Efficiency Program Implementation team in our Chandler, AZ office. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of HVAC / Mechanical experience in any of the following: professional sales, account management, marketing, business management, project management, equipment design, installation, or maintenance. Experience with energy efficient equipment sales is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for acquiring participation in the local utility company’s Energy Efficiency Programs for HVAC (and other non-lighting measures) from engineering firms, service providers, contractors, distributors, manufacturers, vendors, and other community stakeholders.
  • Work with trade allies, individually and in group settings, to maximize their participation in the local utility company’s commercial incentive programs.
  • Recruit trade allies to join the utility’s trade ally network.
  • Educate trade allies and utility customers on the details of the program participation process.
  • Conduct site visits/facility walk through at business locations to identify and discuss rebate-eligible efficiency measures, or to inspect equipment for which a rebate has been applied.
  • Provide consistent and timely support for potential and participating trade allies, and utility customers, answering questions, and assisting them with the rebate application process
  • Other duties may apply

Qualifications
  • Degree preferred in the following: business management, construction, marketing or related technical degree is preferable or other directly-related commensurate experience
  • 2+ years of HVAC / Mechanical experience in any of the following: professional sales, account management, marketing, business management, project management, equipment design, installation, or maintenance
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to manage multiple time-dependent tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent oral communication, writing, interpersonal, skills
  • Proficient experience planning, organization, and self-management in a professional environment
  • Proficient experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to learn and operate company proprietary computer software is required
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and have a personal vehicle to visit customer sites
