The Role - Senior Accountant Job Description:

• Perform month end close activities including bank reconciliations, AR & AP Reconciliations, Revenue Recognition and Reporting, maintaining current amortization and depreciation tables, providing support for budgeting and forecasting, etc

• Perform Treasury-related tasks as needed such as initiating vendor payments, applying customer payments, initiating bank transfers as needed, etc
• Assist with external audits as well as other time-sensitive tasks including board and creditor reports, bank audits, annual business filings and registrations, and more
• Perform day to day AP-related tasks to support content, production, and marketing teams such as project code creation and expense tracking, new vendor setups, processing invoices, maintaining approval tables, 1099 reporting, etc
• Perform day to day AR-related tasks to support sales and client success teams such as creating new customers, invoicing, collections, reviewing customer aging reports, etc
• Provide support with payroll-related activities including commissions payout calculations, payroll accruals, employee reimbursements for company-approved expenses, employee maintenance within Sage Intacct
• Provide support to external teams with time-sensitive items such as annual business registrations and tax filings, external audits, board and credit reporting, etc
• Lead process improvements in areas as needed

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 3+ years of combined experience in public accounting and monthly financial close processes.
• Knowledge and experience working with Sage, a plus
• Advanced excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in Fast-Paced Environment
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills and able to work with a team and interact effectively with other department members. 
• Able to prioritize day to day responsibilities while ensuring timeliness to meet deadlines
