Clinical Education Specialist
Galaxy Diagnostics is seeking a driven and personable Clinical Education Specialist to join our growing sales team at the ground level. In this role you’ll connect with prospective clients – functional medicine practitioners who focus on identifying and addressing root-cause illnesses. You will lead direct outreach, build strong relationships and guide providers through their initial engagement with Galaxy Diagnostics.
Your deep knowledge of functional medicine providers in the vector-borne disease space will be a key asset. Because training and education are critical touch points, the relationships you cultivate will play an essential role in launching and expanding Galaxy Diagnostics sales efforts. This position will also help to develop and refine the clinical education materials and provide input on messaging and marketing initiatives.
This full-time, permanent, and salaried position will be based in our Research Triangle Park headquarters and report to the Vice President of Clinical Sales.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of a targeted sales strategy aligned with Galaxy’s mission and business objectives
- Identify, prioritize and build relationships with end-users in the diagnostics space, including physicians and clinical providers
- Generate new business opportunities within Galaxy’s target market through proactive outbound calls and email campaigns
- Conduct outreach to existing customers with a focus on engagement and retention
- Cultivate strong relationships with providers, managers and decision-makers
- Seek out key account contacts through functional medicine networks
- Coordinate the development and refinement of the Galaxy Diagnostics education strategy and materials
- Maintain thorough understanding of clinical subjects relevant to our products and markets, including an expertise in vector borne disease
- Contribute to Galaxy’s presence at trade shows and industry events
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions and pipeline progress in Galaxy’s Customer Relationship Management system (Hubspot)
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- RN / BSN degree
- 4+ years clinical experience in a functional medicine setting preferred
- 2+ years clinical education or sales experience in diagnostics setting preferred but not required
- Proven ability to build trust and strong relationships with key stakeholders via phone, with a customer-first approach
- Skills in influencing decision-makers and scheduling sales meetings
- Solid understanding of clinical education processes, strategies and techniques
- Persistent but respectful sales mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex clinical challenges in simple, meaningful terms
- Self-directed with strong time management and organizational skills
- Goal-oriented with reliable follow-up and the ability to meet or exceed targets
- Proficient in CRM systems (Hubspot preferred) and MS Office Suite
- Self-motivated, highly organized and comfortable working in a dynamic, early-stage company environment
- Willingness to travel up to 5-10% as needed
