What you’ll do in this role:

  • Lead and oversee client engagements which could include:
    • Sustainability strategy and program development
    • Sustainability reporting advisory
    • Measurement of social and environmental impact of client products, services, and initiatives
    • Development of social or environmental investment theses and measurement criteria
  • Assist with generating new business opportunities and client relationships
  • Manage, mentor and improve performance across high-performing teams
  • Contribute to thought leadership and content development
  • Provide strategic input into building the consulting business

 

Required qualifications:

Education and professional experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of full-time professional sustainability experience, with 5 years of experience in management consulting focused on ESG, sustainability, corporate strategy, CSR, climate, or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of technical sustainability topics such as nature & biodiversity, climate & decarbonization, water stewardship, circular economy, responsible supply chain, human rights, and/or social impact
  • Track record of leading large and complex projects
  • Demonstrated experience with sustainability issues and reporting frameworks including CSRD, TCFD, GRI, CDP, GIIN IRIS, SASB, and LCA

  • Demonstrated strategic skills with the ability to assess and challenge the current state, develop strategies, and identify the tactics necessary to drive a successful implementation
  • Effective communication skills, with ability to convey complex ideas clearly through PowerPoint and other media and ability develop collaborative relationships with client contacts
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to leverage data to influence decisions, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and distill complex issues into actionable plans
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport and collaborate effectively, internally and with our clients
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple workstreams with ability to adapt, prioritize and successfully manage multiple tasks or projects in response to changing, ambiguous or competing priorities

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or graduate degree in a sustainability-related field
  • Licensure or advance certifications as appropriate for your profession
  • Experience with GHG emissions accounting, climate risk assessments
  • Experience with the role of ESG in finance and understanding the flow of capital towards responsible business practices

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $190,000 to $250,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. Impact Pathways complies with all applicable minimum wage laws.
